We need to drill here , now! Obama is clueless. By the way- he also wants to choose what your thermostat is set on and how often you drive your car along with everything else. He is the most arrogant person I have EVER seen!

demolition derby
Saturday we went to the demolition derby that was at the fairgrounds here in Logan. It was my first time at an event such as this one. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of weird (and a little white trash- no offense to anyone), but it was also fun. I could actually see myself doing it on one of those days when you have to let off some steam- I mean how wouldn't it help to just run into people and destroy your car and theirs? :) anyway it was fun- we are finding some small town things to do here. It makes more better dates than just watching a movie. Ashley Sokia also came up this weekend and hung out with us. We got to play games and it was fun to see her and Nate.
and we can't forget the dance contest- the guy
in the red hat rocked and had some cool old school moves
Jake and I with our cool wrist bands.
it got pretty smoky

I am a Utah resident ?!? :(
Last week was a very eventful week- and a very emotional one. Not only did I become a Utah resident, I also registered my car here and now have a Utah license plate. Yes, I did cry, but I am accepting the fact - I just got the license in the mail today. The best part about it is the package that Mom and Dad sent with the Top Ten Great Things About Living in Utah for Kristen
10. Your Dad was born and raised there, and he turned out ok.
9. Access to church productions like "The Savior of the World" and MoTab Concerts.
8. Your sisters and 3 brothers live there.
7. You have 7 nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-law, who love you who live there along with lots of other extended family.
6. Brigham Young said, "This is the right place."
5. There are so many beautiful temples close by.
4. It's a red state, not turning blue like Colorado.
3. There are great universities that aren't as liberal as CU.
2. Utah is the Jello capital of the world. YEA Jello!
1. Your great husband who you married lives there!!
This helped turn my frown into a smile- thanks Mom and Dad!

God Bless the USA!
July 3rd is when they did fireworks in Logan. We went to the top of a building on the USU campus to watch the fireworks from the stadium. We watched fireworks with one of Jake's coworkers- Chris, his wife Michelle and darling girl Cadence. It was fun.
July 4th we went down to Provo to hang out with everyone. We hung out with my 2 brothers- Brent and his fiancee Christa and Scott. It was fun. We walked around the freedom festival, got some food, went to a cheap movie, walked around the mall (see Christa's mad hula hoop skills) and watched fireworks. We found a spot on the grass at a building on campus and the fireworks from Stadium of Fire were awesome! The best part of the day was riding in the car together with Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" playing and all 5 of us singing at the top of our lungs.

I love America!
I have been thinking of how much I love the 4th of July. I am so grateful for this country and for the wonderful leaders we have had in the past to lead and to ensure that it remains the country of freedom, values, and faith in God. With the next elections approaching, it causes me to reflect on how important those values are and how important it is for us to vote for those who will not destroy them or allow them to be torn down. Interesting information- The Wall Street Journal reported that if Barrack Obama is elected, with his proposed tax increases and programs, the taxes in cities such as New York will be at 60%!! That's worse than France!! So this is my petition to all to vote for John McCain- we can't afford Barrack Obama- not to mention the fact that he will destroy our defense systems and tear down our military and not promote values.
I love my country- thanks be to God for the United States of America!!
"We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pay to the God that made us!"
-Abraham Lincoln

the lake
We went to the lake with Jake's family last weekend and it was fun. We were able to get some sun and ride on the wave runners.
