this was our first time planting onions and we ended planting them too close together so they only grew to a certain point before they got too squished. :)
Aren't they pretty? They are waiting on my counter for me to cut them up and freeze them- I just need to make sure my eyes can handle it.

Very pretty! I have never tried planting onions before, but it looks like you got a bumper crop.
As for your eyes, put a piece of bread in your mouth while you cut the onions. It helps absorb the fumes to keep you from crying.
Those are beautiful! You can just keep them in a box in your basement in a cool dark place too and they stay good for MONTHS.
Absolutely beautiful. If you are cring a lot now it is probably because the onions haven't cured. My husband's great uncle is an onion farmer and they leave the onions out to dry a week or two until they are less potent.
