not enough time in the day

So i don't have anything to write, I just can't stand looking at the same post from 2 weeks ago. We have been soo busy lately and I am just trying to catch up on life and get a breather. So far I haven't really been able to.

we need your CrEaTiviTy!

Hey all, Jake and I are thinking of starting a little jewelry store with some cool silver. However, we have had a very hard time thinking of a unique and cool name. We preferably want a one word name and not something that has to have jewelry or silver on the end. Here's an idea of what we would sell. PLEASE leave a comment or let me know if you have any ideas!!! We would really appreciate it. If you don't have any ideas, please see our poll to the right to leave your feedback. You can vote on any or all the names you like. Thanks again!
Thanks so much, we really appreciate your input!!

happy birthday Jake!

Jake had a birthday yesterday so we did our best to celebrate a middle of the work and school week event. Jake got the day off work and got to sleep in, we went to a movie (Seven Pounds- very interesting, but didn't leave me liking it very much) and a fun dinner. We had our own personal Italian restaurant and even served sparkling cider.
On Sunday, we went down to Riverton to have dinner and cake with his family, which was fun also. As you can tell, I still don't know how to work our new camera because most of the pictures turned out so dark. Oh well. At least he had a good birthday :)

risks

I have had this quote in my bathroom the last week or so and have read and thought about it often. I have heard it before, but it has really made me think about myself and life lately.
Now, I know that I need to give credit to the quote where it is due. However, I often find a quote I like but may not know the person it's from or agree with their life choices or think they are amazing people. I just like their words.
But right now, to me, it doesn't matter because this quote has made me reflect on my life and on others, it has made me reflect on the times we have in life to learn and grow-whether they are hardships or good times- they all make us learn and grow.

"And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
-Anais Nin-

Risk. An interesting word. Not usually a word we associate with feeling comfortable. Usually risks are painful. But that's what's so interesting to me about this quote- and about life - sometimes not taking a risk is more painful than the risk itself.
Like the risk of never putting oneself out there to meet new people. Or the risk of telling myself I can't do certain things. Or the risk of not letting a friend or a family member know how much they mean to you. Or the risk of not knowing my Savior in this precious time that I have here on earth. So this is one thing I want to work on this year- taking the risk to blossom rather than experience the pain of not growing.
And along with the growth, there will be times when the sun beats down on me so hard I just want to stop. And the rain and the snow is so cold that I will feel alone and my heart will want to turn cold as well. But I know that my Creator will not abandon me. He has created me to withstand the elements and provided a refuge through His son, Jesus Christ. I was created to blossom and He will help me to do so, if I just trust in Him and take the risk.

blank

So, I've been wanting to post on here the last couple of days, but I don't really know why. When I think about what to post, my mind is....blank. Weird that I want to post but have nothing to post about... oh well.
School started on Monday and I have been halfway out of it because I have a really annoying cold that bothers me. Do you know how you feel when you are sitting in a class and can't breathe and really just need to be at home in bed blowing your nose in sweats but you are trying to listen to a new professor introduce the class when it is so hard to sit there. And I have blowing my nose in class around others. Yes, I know they all think how nasty, this girl is going to get us all sick, why does she have to be so loud? But guess what? I don't want to be there either, I hate blowing my nose in front of everyone too, but it's just a necessity to be there, so sorry for anyone at USU who is in one of my classes :) Tonight I have a 2.5 hour one, we'll see if I can make it through.
I'm not really excited about my classes this semester. I am taking 2 generals (which if you want my real opinion are stupid because I was all done with generals at BYU and have to take more here and the subjects are ridiculous. They claim it's to stretch us, but I really think they just want us to take classes so that people actually sign up for these lame classes- Textile Science, Social Systems and Issues (really it's all about Environmentalism- gag me now- sorry if I offend anyone) and let's see what one does Jake have? Oh yes, Science and Technology. These are the best of the ones offered, thank goodness I didn't have to take Animal Breeding.
I have 2 major classes and one minor class also. They are going to require a lot of reading- my spanish classes are spanish literature and the minor one is Political Science which will be reading and writing also. I have never taken 16 credits before, so we'll see how it goes with that and a full time job. I'm sure I can balance it if I can just get rid of this cold.
Anyway... that's my rambling for the day. Sorry to anyone reading as I'm sure you would have rather just seen the blank page.
My excitement for the week: tomorrow I am getting a haircut!! Ok, well it's just a trim, but with my curly hair I have only found 1 person who knows how to cut it and who I trust. And althought she only works one day a week so the wait to get in is about 6 months and now that I live in Logan I have to drive 2 hours to see her, it's worth it. Hopefully it won't be snowing tomorrow so the drive isn't bad.
I'm pretty sure this blog has the most run-on sentences than any other.... I'm blaming it on the cold. :)

Happy New Year!!

I know I'm a day late, but Happy New Year! We had a fun New Year's Eve with some friends over and played games. We are enjoying the few days before school starts again to relax and sleep in. I am trying to get a lot of rest to get over this horrible cold. Hopefully it will be gone by Monday. Next semester will be crazy busy but it will be good.
Jake and I have a lot of goals for this new year and I know that with hard work and the Lord's help we will reach them.
Christmas was so fun, it was so nice to have a break and see family and friends. We love you guys so much.
