summer is here

Summer is officially here, and along with it all the fun events. Last weekend we had a fun time in Salt Lake with my parents in town and got to spend some time together with 5 of us siblings. It was Nathan's birthday ( my oldest nephew) and it was fun to spend some time with everyone. We are both behind on our sleep now and Jake enjoyed getting to play- how many? 3?4? 5? games of Acquire.
Thursday and Friday we are so excited to have some vistors up here in Logan!! Emily and her kids are coming and it gives us a reason to clean our apartment and clear out our 2nd bedroom, which has been the junk room.
Then Sunday it is off to Lake Powell for a week with Jake's family. I am excited to not worry about work and to read as much as I want. :) I'm not too excited for a whole week of looking horrible in a swim suit, but oh well.
We will then be back for a week before we head off to Newport Beach, CA for 2 weeks. I can't wait!!! To me, the beach is heaven on earth and we haven't seen Grandpa for a year so I am excited.
I hope you all are having a fabulous summer. I only regret that it feels like it is going by so fast. :)
