purple pillows

This week I made two purple pillows. It's kind of funny, because purple is definitely not one of my colors, but both were gifts for other people.
The first was my first log cabin block ever that I decided to use for a pillow.  I know it's not that great, but I tried.

This second pillow was really fun to make. I ordered the owl piece here  and knew I wanted to make a pillow for a friend's boutique who loves owls.  I am happy with how it turned out.  I really like the print, even though I'm not that into the owl thing. This cute owl may make me reconsider.
