This coming Monday is the 10 year anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings. For those of you who don't know, I was there that day.
My experience is featured on another blog, Never Forgotten for those of you who are interested.
One of my favorite scriptures that has given me strength since that day is in Romans chapter 8:
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I remember you talking about your experience when you were training me. You told me about a fireside that John Bytheway held for you guys where he took you through the story of Alma and Amulek watching the wicked judges of Ammonihah burn believers in a great fire and stated, "Don't you think they had nightmares, too?" That has affected me deeply ever since. To say that God loves us is not to say he keeps us from pain, it is that he gives us exactly the means and the strength to overcome the pain and emerge more Christlike from the experience.
WOW! Thanks for sharing that scripture. Death seems impossible to bear without faith, and love from God.
Thanks for taking the time to enter in my photography give-away!
