i give up.

i just burned 2 bags of chocolate chips. I don't have a double boiler so I was trying to do it with a sauce pan and bowl. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Any tips on how to make it work? (not that i'll be trying it again any time soon).

thank goodness it's the weekend and I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow :)

The microwave! At about 50% power and stir about every thirty seconds. They'll continue melting, so call them done when there are still little chunks. Let them set for a bit, stir again and you should have smooth, glossy, melted chocolate! (Now I'm interested in what you were making!)

Deidra's right and beat me too it! Microwave works awesome! Just be careful because they can burn in there toO! Good luck!

If you want to do it in a saucepan, just make sure you add enough butter or margarine. It may increase the calorie count, but I've never burned the chocolate.
