The Logan temple is closed for cleaning right now- it's basically closed for the whole month of January. So, on Saturday we decided to go to the Ogden temple on the way down to Salt Lake. I told Jake that this summer or sometime soon I want to go to all the temples in Utah. Since there are 13 right now (the Brigham City temple will make it 14), I think it's a fun thing to do. And while we do it we can discover different parts of Utah... like Vernal. Ok, maybe no one really wants to discover Vernal, but when it comes to the house of God, I'm game. I love the song "I love to see the temple" since I have sung since my childhood. I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ as I attend the temple and know that I have received so many blessings from doing so.
So we began 2010 with the Ogden temple. I'm sure we will end it with the Logan one, which is the one that we will attend most weeks. Our goal since we both returned from our missions has been to go every week. It was some counsel that our mission president gave and I know that it has made all the difference.
Since Jake and I had a bit of miscommunication about the photo, this is all we have. For those of you who were wondering what the temple looks like, I included a picture (from lds.org)

I love to see the temple
I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday. To feel the Holy Spirit, to listen and to pray.
For the temple is a house of God, a place of love and beauty. I'll prepare myself while I am young, this is my sacred duty.
I love to see the temple, I'll go inside someday. I'll covenant with my Father, I'll promise to obey. For the temple is a holy place, where we are sealed together. As a child of God, I've learned this truth: A family is forever.
